Mr. Phillip Calland

Phil Calland began employment with Clark State in 1966 as one of the first full-time instructors in the business programs. He also served as Dean of the Business Programs for nine years, retiring in 1992. He believes Clark State changes lives for the better by improving the educational levels of people in all of the communities it serves, encouraging people of all ages to improve their knowledge and skills in order to prepare them for better employment opportunities.

Impact

In 2000, Phil established the Phil and Nancy Calland Endowment, which has assisted countless students in the last 23 years through the Alice McKinley Scholarship. “I enjoy donating to the Clark State Foundation because I have been associated with the College in various roles for many years and have witnessed with satisfaction the joy of graduates as new doors are opened because they have earned their degrees.”
